The Raison D'être of the International WC Research Project
IWCRP was founded in 2005 as part of the Vlan Glatten Initiative for Worldwide Understanding (VGIWU, which is a word meaning "complete understanding achieved through the comparison of things" in an old Vlanglatteral dialect.)
The comparative approach in the social sciences has the weakness that most things are either too different or too similar to get anything remotely intelligent out of comparing them with each other. Fortunately, Vlan Glatten´s minister of comparison discovered that WCs are, as he said at his speech at the UN: "same, but different. Eureka."
Therefore, IWCRP is expected not only to represent a breakthrough within the social sciences, but to revolutionize our understanding of the universe and perhaps help us finding the meaning of life.
